Arrrrrg, Mateys!

My cousin, Corinne, invited us over for her son's pirate birthday party. He turned four and was really cute opening up his presents. Gavin and Connor had a blast with both Taylor and Alex. It's fun having boys their age so close by that they can play with. Aidan was a great sport and actually let us put all of the pirate stuff on him. Connor also let me dress him up. Gavin...not so much. He was more concerned with why Taylor was six like him, but Taylor actually has grownup teeth already! He was pretty concerned about it, but I reassured him that he would get his grownup teeth soon! We all had a lot of fun and enjoyed a BBQ and visited with my Grandma Barbara, Aunt Karen, Cousin Camille and her new baby, Uncle Don, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Richard and Cousin Sarah. It was great to see so much family and have a nice night of visiting.

Sleeping Baby

Have you ever been this tired before?
I know I have!

Aidan's Cute Smile

Lately, Aidan has been giving us this really cute, goofy smile. If you say his name and smile at him, Aidan will tip his head back a little and smile so big his eyes squint! It's so funny and did I mention...cute!

Gavin Lost his First Tooth!

First loose tooth.

Use the Force

Here's a little video of the boys playing with their light sabers with Daddy. When they drop their light saber, they like to "use the force" to get their weapon back. (Meaning that they have Daddy toss it back to them while they hold their hand out like they're using the force and they even make the little noise from the movie) Aidan loves to watch this and try to participate. This was the first time that he actually started to hold his hand out like he was also using the force. It was so CUTE that I just had to take a video of it.

Here are some pictures of the kids "using the force" by putting their hands out and trying to make things move. Sometimes one of the kids will even fall back like they've been pushed by the force! So funny.

Beautiful Blue Eyes

This little baby just makes my heart melt.

Good News

A few months ago I found a lump in my breast which really scared me. I went to the doctor's and he said it felt pretty normal, that it might be related to nursing, so since Aidan was already over a year old anyway, I quit nursing and the doctor had me schedule a followup appointment for two months later. That was a stressful two months just not knowing for sure if the lump could be cancer. I felt pretty confident that everything was fine, and Jason gave me a priesthood blessing and he also felt like everything was fine so that was helpful. I went to my followup appointment and the bad news was that the lump was still there, but the good news was that it hadn't grown. So we scheduled an ultrasound at the hospital (the hospital doesn't do mammograms until you've quit nursing for six months, and they want to you quit nursing before they'll do an ultrasound also because the tissue is so different when you're nursing). Luckily, everything looked really normal on the ultrasound, and the doctor was even kind enough to turn the screen so I could see it and explain everything to me. Wheew, what a relief! I hadn't wanted to blog about this before until I knew for sure what the situation was, but I'm so glad that everything is fine. Having a scare like this has really made me realize how much I stress about stupid stuff in life that doesn't really matter anyway. It's given me a new perspective about being thankful for everything we have and not stressing about what we don't have or about little things that go wrong in life. Right now, I'm just so thankful I have my family and we're all happy and healthy and well, and what more could I want?
