Blue and Gold Banquet

Here we are at the Blue and Gold Banquet...everyone looks hungry and grumpy except for Aidan. lol They did a really great job with the decorations at the dinner. Gavin was excited to be getting his wolf patch. I'm slowly learning what all these patches mean...I'm sure by the time Owen's done with scouts I'll have a REALLY good idea of what it all means. lol
Our cute cub scout. I love this little boy!
Gavin up front with the wolf pack...they had a some smoke coming out from under the stage and dragon noises...Gavin had to be the brave one to get the treasure box with their awards in it.
Gavin putting the Wolf pin on me...followed by the Scout Salute...a kiss for the Mom on the cheek for helping their scout earn their award.
Here we are after Gavin got his Wolf patch...Connor stayed at the table.

Bath-Time!

Owen LOVES bath-time. Most of the time I use it as an excuse to take a bath too...I love bath-time with a little baby...they're so soft and squishy and splashy and smiley and the time that we get to snuggle like this just goes way too fast. I love my sweet baby.

Friends

We met some friends, Alison and her kids, at the zoo the other day. Alison is an old college roommate who has recently moved back to Utah. We live about an 1 and 1/2 hours apart, but Salt Lake City is a good meeting place for us to get together and visit and let the kids play. We met at the zoo one day and the Children's Discovery Museum another day. It's great to catch up with good friends, and our kids get along great too :)

Owen's New Trick

I was at my cousin, Corinne's, house when Owen first pulled himself up to a standing position. I was so glad that I had my camera handy. He looks so happy that he discovered a new trick.

Owen

Owen loves to make his way to Aidan's room now that he's mobile...probably because it's usually the messiest with the most toys strewn about the room the play with. lol

Brothers & Best Buds (Most of the Time...)

My Two Basketball Stars...

Mr. Squishy

Mr. Squishy started to crawl in January...he learned how to go from a crawling position to sitting up again and loves his new mobility...Mommy loves it too because he's so much happier now that he can get around on his own when I put him down.

A Fun Day at the Park in January

We've had a really mild winter this year. In January, we decided to have a picnic dinner at the park one night. We had to eat quickly in order to have time to play, but that was only because it gets dark so early, not because it was too cold.
I love this man :)
This just makes me laugh :D
My three little adorable troublemakers.

Owen & Elle

Here's Owen playing with his cousin Elle...I hope they grow up to be good buddies :)

Long Day at Church...

Do the Roar

This picture will only make sense to you if you've seen "Shrek Forever After"...the part where the kid keeps telling Shrek to "Do the Roar" and Shrek doesn't want to and the kid stares him down and says "Do it" then takes a lick of his lollipop...that whole scene from the movie cracks us up...so when Aidan was eating this lollipop it reminded me of that and I just had to take a picture :)

Christmas 2011

I'm finally FINALLY updating my blog...thank goodness it's leap year this year so I can still say I got this done by February! lol Christmas was great this year. It was Owen's first Christmas, and all of the kids are at that perfect age where Christmas is just so magical! I know I'm going to miss this stage someday! For Christmas I got a nice new camera, so I'm having fun experimenting with it.
Let the Christmas fun begin!
My sweet little squishy :)
Christmas morning...time to open the gifts!

Aidan was so happy with the pack of pencils that Gavin bought him for Christmas that he ran up and gave him a hug. I love when I catch my kids loving each other! It's one of the BEST things about being a Mommy :)

The kids "big gifts" from Santa were some new scooters!
Every year Aidan somehow manages to get some sort of wrapping stuck to his butt...it's becoming a tradition of sorts!
Mr. Smiley.
About the business of opening gifts.
Had to get a picture of me in at least one shot so the kids will remember I was there...

When Owen wasn't busy with gifts, he was busy playing with the tree.

All three big boys got the machine nerf guns from Grandma Debbie...I am constantly finding nerf bullets all over the house now, but the kids are having fun and at least nerf bullets are soft and won't destroy the house unlike other toys that get thrown around here by my kids. lol

Family Christmas Picture

Every year I try to get one quick snapshot of the whole family on Christmas Day, then I put that picture in a little book so we can see how things have changed over the years. Here's 2011 :) Normally we're still all jammied up for these shots, but we had Church at 10:00 am so we were too busy unwrapping gifts and trying to get ready for Church to take the picture until after we got back home...I think it worked out well that way all dressed up...it's a rare occasion when we're actually all matchy too. lol
