Gavin's Preschool Page

At Preschool, it was Gavin's turn to take home Curious George and write all about the adventures he had with him. Then he was supposed to draw a picture of it. I just thought his little stick-figure drawings were so cute that I had to put it on the blog!

Pictures of Aidan

Okay, so for those of you who look at this blog regularly, I hope you don't get sick of seeing so many pictures of baby Aidan, because there's more where these came from! Hey, I'm a mom and, to me, Aidan's changing every day, so I feel the need to capture it all on camera! He's so fun!

The Circus came to our Town!

Yes, the circus actually came to our tiny little town and we were so excited. Jason and I thought it would be great to take the kids.

The acrobats did some pretty amazing tricks.

Well, at least I thought they were pretty amazing tricks!

The kids were more concerned about their cotton-candy. In fact, for the first half-hour, Gavin wouldn't take his eyes off the cotton-candy guy...I think he wanted to make sure I didn't miss him when he came by. I kept telling Gavin to turn around and sit down and enjoy the show...all the while wondering why I paid to get him in to watch the circus when he was so concerned about the cotton-candy...I could have bought him some of that at the grocery store! Luckily, once the kids had their cotton-candy, they settled in to enjoy the rest of the show.

More about our Circus Adventure...

When they brought out the motorcycles...

Connor finally got excited...that's an awfully cheezy grin he's got there, but you get the idea...he loves anything that goes...big trucks, motorcycles, and especially Grandpa's 4-wheeler.

Gavin got excited when they brought out the clowns...he thought it was pretty cool that they were allowed to hit each other (that's forbidden in our house). He also really liked the elephants...I think that's the first time he's seen elephants in real life. That's him up front getting a closer look.

Here's our family enjoying the show...minus baby Aidan who was sleeping away at Grandma's house.

On the way back to the car, Connor got to ride on Daddy's shoulders.

Aidan Playing with his Toys

Aidan really likes to sit under this toy and play. It has been a life-saver when I need some time to get something done and have Aidan totally content and occupied with this toy.

Sweet Sleepy Baby

Aren't babies just so sweet while they sleep. Sometimes I find myself just staring at my sweet sleeping baby boy and thinking about how wonderful life is and how simple really. Babies are a wonderful part of life, and I'm so blessed to have my new baby boy.

Smiling Baby Boy

Jason took these pictures of Aidan yesterday, and I thought they were so cute with his hands clasped together like that. You can see that Aidan really loves his Daddy.

No one can get Aidan laughing like Daddy can!

Aidan was laughing so hard last night...Jason was swinging his socks around...we call it "socky-chucks." Jason plays socky-chucks with the older boys sometimes, but last night, Aidan was just watching away and thought it was SO funny...that's what Aidan is laughing at in the video below too. What a silly little boy!

The Tuckers came for a Visit

The Tuckers came for a visit this week. (They're some friends of ours from the Boise area.) We used to visit with them all the time, and the kids loved to play together...but distance and gas prices have kept us from visiting for a year now! It was so great to see them. We had fun just hanging out at our place, and the next day we took the kids to the zoo. Gavin and Connor had so much fun with Tanner and Clayton, and it was cute to watch Austin try to keep up with the big boys. He's grown so much this past year. Thanks, Debbie, for coming to visit us. We all had a good time.

Beautiful Sleeping Boys

The other night, I went to check on my unusually quiet boys, and they were all asleep...by 8:00 pm...it was so strange. My house was so...quiet! There was no tucking in and re-tucking in and getting water and helping wipe for one more bathroom trip or anything. It was so great. The boys looked so peaceful and cute all sleeping away that I just had to take some pictures so I could remember this moment when other moments are not quite so quiet.

Connor brushed his own hair

Connor came out of the bathroom and pointed to his hair and said, "Look!" (Well, actually he said "Yook!"...he's having a little trouble saying his L's) It was so cute...he was so proud of the fact that he brushed his own hair. I actually think he did a pretty good job...what do you think?!
