Owen's 2nd Birthday :)

When you turn 8-years-old in our Church you're considered to be at an age of accountability where you can choose right from wrong and you get to make the decision to be baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It's a special day, and we're so proud of Connor for his decision to be baptized like Jesus was. Jason's parents and grandma were able to make it to the baptism. We also had some nieces and a nephew there :)

City Easter Celebration

Every year our city puts on an Easter Egg hunt...well it's not so much of a hunt as a mad dash of chaos! This is the first year we've gone to it. They have the groups sectioned off according to age, then a firetruck blows it's horn when it starts...the only way to describe what happens next is a like a huge vacuum of kids sucking up thousands of eggs in about 15 seconds! Gavin and Connor had fun, but Aidan got lost...the parents had to stay back and we couldn't find Aidan for a good 10 minutes. Another family saw he was lost and was kind enough to stay with him until we found him. I should have put him in with the younger kids...it was a little less crazy, but he had technically just barely turned 5 and was supposed to be with Connor's group...I would have put him in with the little kids anyway had I known it was THAT CRAZY! Aidan was upset for a while and only ended up with 3 eggs in the craziness of it all, but Gavin and Connor had fun!

Aidan insisted that he's old enough to watch "Harry Potter" and not scared at all, but he's wrapped up in his blanket awfully tight!

Family Day at the Park

After a long winter...we had a semi-warm day in March and we were so ready to go outside and enjoy the day! We had a picnic dinner at the park and played basketball...I love time together as a family :)

I took these pictures on a day when I was in the middle of a really difficult week and all I really wanted to do was curl up into bed and cry and hide under the blankets...leave it to Owen to make me smile and even laugh through it all...love this kid!
