A New Way to Sing "Rock-a-Bye-Baby"

So, as I was rocking Aidan to sleep today, I realized that I should share this version of "Rock-a-Bye-Baby" that I made up when Gavin was a baby. I just couldn't bear to sing a song about a cradle crashing to the ground when singing to my sweet little baby, so I made up some new lyrics, and I still use it to sing to my other kids. I just substitute their names in there, and they love having a song sung to them that's all personalized including their name...Gavin and Connor still sit on my lap and request this song once in a while! Feel free to use it with your own little ones...Here's how it goes:
"Rock-a-Bye, Aidan
Mama's got you.
You are so cute
And little too.
Now it's time
To go to sleep,
And all through the night
My love you'll keep."

Cute song. I know the original is about the plague or something horrid like that- kinda funny. I love the new quotes by the way- so funny!!!

Just so you know, I tagged you over on my blog. I love that my boys like me to sing to them. That song is a big favorite at our house, but it's not so much a lullaby. It's more of a game. I rock them in my arms and them drop them onto the couch when the cradle drops. Good times throwing the kids. :)
