A Visit with a Friend

This is one of those cases where I wish I would have had my camera, but at the same time I'm kind of glad I didn't!...because I looked terrible! I was on my way home from Idaho last weekend when I had a chance to meet up with an old roommate, Lisa, who was visiting Utah. Her schedule was pretty packed with visiting family, so we had a small window to meet at a park and let the kids play while we visited. I hadn't seen her for years and I hadn't been home from driving from Idaho (just drove straight to the park), and I hadn't even showered yet that day! Yuck! Not the greatest for seeing a friend you haven't seen for a long time, but I think she understood! It was great to see her and to visit with her. There's just something about friends who are old roommates that just makes the visiting really cool...you used to live together, so you've seen each others up and downs and pretty much everything in between! That's how you know they're a true friend if they still like you after all that I guess! Well, Lisa's an awesome lady, and it was great to see her and to meet her two kids and to let our kids play. We joked about a possible future match up with her daughter and one of my boys! That would be fun. Anyway, sorry no pictures, but we did have a great visit.
