Look How Our Garden has Grown...

When we got back from California, our garden had grown quite a bit, so we got busy picking the green beans, peas, zuccini and cucumbers. The tomatoes and corn are almost ready. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the corn, pretending like it was their house. I remember doing that when I was a kid...ah, memories...

This sign in our garden says, "Free Weeds (you pick 'em!)"

Yes, I actually picked and snapped and canned quite a few green beans from our garden with some help from Jason's mom. Who'd have thought growing a garden and canning could be so much fun! Jason's mom and I visited while we picked and snapped the beans and canned them. Now I have about 50 jars of yummy fresh garden green beans for the winter, and there are still more green beans coming in that we'll can for Jason's mom.

We're still renting too, so we did a garden in Jason's parents backyard, but we figured we're there enough to take care of it...someday we'll have a place of our own too! I feel your pain...renting is no fun. I'm so glad we can keep in touch with our blogs too! I love looking at pictures of your cute family, and I love your optimism about life...it always cheers me!
